I am looking for a record of my father's death in Tennessee 1956-1959. What do I do? - tennessee cemeteries

I tried the site in Nashville, Tennessee State Library and Archives. I took a moment of death of about 1956-1959. I do not understand what I mean. I can not do a list of the dead. I think my brother died some time in infants during this time and is buried in same cemetery. My father was Donald Dunn. My little brother called Donny so I think I was appointed, Donald Dunn. Suggestions? I said it can not serve as a marker for the baby.
